Removal of
Pegs
Remember: Use ONLY poly-urethane glue to fix the threaded
part of the peg into the peg box. Poly-urethane glue will not
damage your instrument and can be safely removed if
necessary.
'In the unlikely event that a peg needs to be removed:
* Touch the tip of a soldering iron to the metal shank
of the peg
you wish to remove.
* The heat will be conducted through the metal and
soften the glue
* You will then be able to unscrew the peg from the peg
box.
* Any residual glue will be able to be peeled away from
the wood, or
can be taken out with a reamer.
